On Friday 25 September 2015, we held a free screening of this ground-breaking environmental movie in the Hayden Allen Tank, ANU.
Jyoti Dambiec: Such a powerful movie. One thing we can do as vegans is to create as many opportunities as we can for people to watch this excellent doco. A good turnout last night at ANU, but there was room for many more!
Great that people bought copies with the view to do home screenings with friends. Vegan ACT still has some copies for sale. If you’d like to purchase one for $20 please be in touch.
Before the screening there were dagwood dogs, popcorn, brownies, cupcakes and chia choc puddings for sale in the foyer. This was a great opportunity to bring a non-vegan friend along to hear about the direct link between veganism and the environment.
Nicole Godwin: Here is the recipe for the choc-date-chia pudding served at the Cowspiracy screening tonight. I add a little maple syrup as well. I also combine and blend the milk with the dates before I add the chia. I find that Bonsoy tastes good as the plant-based milk of choice, but you can use any. Bon appetit 🙂
Vegan ACT also had a raffle packed full of goodies which Francine Horne put together with money raised going to Little Oak Sanctuary. Copies of Cowspiracy DVD were also for sale at $20 each. You can now purchase these from the Vegan ACT Shop.
