A large group gathered at Majura Community Hall to hear James Aspey’s inspirational story.
“Starting January 1st, 2014, I commenced my journey around Australia whilst engaging in a vow of silence for 365 days. What this meant is that I voluntarily sacrificed my ability to speak for the entire year!” – James Aspey
He embarked on this journey with the intent to raise awareness about animals and to promote peace over violence. James was diagnosed with Leukaemia when he was 17 which started his path of questioning and pursuing a life of purpose.
The selection of food was amazing with rice, curries, salad, summer rolls and sweet treats galore.
