Vegan Day Out in Canberra – Saturday & Sunday, 2 & 3 September 2017

Vegan Day Out in Canberra!

Saturday, 2 September 2017 9:00 am

@ The Cruelty Free Shop

Creator: The Cruelty Free Shop

It’s that time again for cheap eats, freebies, and sales!

On Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 September, local cafes and businesses in Braddon will be slashing prices, giving away samples and putting special vegan products on the menu.

We’re talking meal deals, two for ones, free coffees, food samplings, discounted vegan groceries, wine tastings and so much more.

Join us for a weekend-long celebration of everything vegan!

Here’s how it works:
We will be creating a map of all the participating businesses. Come and collect your map & vouchers from the Cruelty Free Shop. Then enjoy spending the weekend walking around redeeming the vouchers. It’s a great time to treat yourself and showcase delicious vegan foods and products to friends and family.

At the Cruelty Free Shop, we’ll have storewide discounts on hundreds of items and special offers plus free food tastings all weekend long.

Please note: as hundreds of products in store will be discounted already, no further discounts will be available over the weekend (e.g. Vegan Card, loyalty points, etc.).

If you’ve been before, you’ll know why we’re so excited! More than 5,000 people attended the Vegan Day Out in Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne in April this year.

Make sure to invite your friends to this event page! Let’s make this bigger and better than ever!

WHERE TO START:
The Cruelty Free Shop, 3/24 Mort Street, Braddon
Sat 2 Sept 9am-6pm
Sun 3 Sept 10am-5pm

Vegan ACT Movie Night: Carnage – Friday, 15 September 2017

Vegan movie night!

Friday, 15 September 2017 7:30 pm

@ Griffith neighbourhood centre, 55 Stuart St, Griffith ACT 2603, Australia

Creator: Vegan ACT

Have you heard of the recent comedy film “Carnage”? The mockumentary is set in 2067, when veganism is so assumed in modern diets that there isn’t even a word for it. Instead, the illegal practice of eating “other animals” or their by-products is called “carnism”: a barbaric and incomprehensible symptom of an uncivilised society.

Sounds pretty good!  So, come hang out and bring your friends and family to have some laughs, yummy food and throw back a couple of cold ones! This event is BYO and 18+ (people under the age of 18 must be supervised by parents/guardians).

Hope to see you there!
