Come along to Animal Liberation ACT’s next protest to oppose the kangaroo killing in Canberra. It will be held in the City from 4.30 – 6 on Wednesday May 31. Drop in whenever you can, no need to stay for the entire time.
The aim of the protest is to bring the ongoing atrocities of the kangaroo kill in Canberra to the public, and to raise awareness about the significant acts of violence being perpetrated on an iconic and gentle native animal and their young.
Where to meet? Northbourne Avenue on the corner of London Circuit (close to the bus station). We will be standing in this location during peak hour traffic to make our message to the public seen.
Please bring very BIG and BOLD signage because it will begin to get dark at this time and DRESS WARM!
Please call Lara on 0402 599 293 if you cannot find us when you arrive.
Please spread the word and invite your friends, family and colleagues. Hope to see you there.
Let’s get hands on and help out for the day at A Poultry Place this Sunday for another Vegan ACT Working Bee. 💪😀
This incredible local sanctuary is home to hundreds of rescued animals and is run by just one person!
This is a really great chance to meet the residents, learn some of their stories and the workings of a sanctuary, and most of all to give a little of your time to make a contribution for the animals, and the people that champion them.
So come and join us for a day of making new friends and memories on the 4th of June. 🐤🐔🐤🐔🐤
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or PM Michelle Isobel for any queries or to RSVP.
Location is Murrumbateman. Directions will be given when you RSVP, some lifts are available.
Free lunch and tour of the sanctuary provided. Please get in touch if you need any further details!

This is such a positive opportunity to introduce someone unfamiliar with veganism to the benefits of plant based living, or a perfect way to learn a bit more about the implications of animal products on our health and enjoy a vegan-friendly night out.
The screening is to be held on the 13th of June (doors open at 6pm) at the National Film and Sound Archive: ARC Cinema: before the film starts you will be able to browse the stalls and connect with heaps of local vegan, plant based and animal rights organisations and businesses. You can opt for catering before the event at the time of ticket purchase, small food items will also be available for purchase on the night.
After the screening you will be able to hear from plant based health professionals (as listed in the event), and participate in a Q&A. Sounds like quite a night!
A massive thank you to the organisers, Raw Events for bringing this event to Canberra and also for your support and involvement of local organisations, including Vegan ACT.
Monthly coffee & cake meetup. Come and meet fellow vegans and those interested in veganism over a cuppa for a chat.
Despite the name we often eat more than just cake and drink more than coffee – all welcome!
Please be mindful that this event is vegan-friendly. You don’t need to be vegan to attend, however we request that you order vegan food & drink at this event.
