These are eight very pleasant little burgers that are great with salad.  Comes with ‘Asian Slaw’ recipe on the back (which I haven’t tried yet).

They seem to be so new that not even the Veggie Delights website makes any mention of them.  I’ve asked them to look into this.

Ingredients:  Water, Vegetable Protein (16%) (soy protien, pea protein, soybean meal, wheat gluten), Vegetables (potato, onion, shallots, red capsicum), Vegetable Oils (sunola, canola), Breadcrumbs (wheat flour, salt, yeast, wheat gluten, sugar, canola oil), Oats, Thai Kaffir Lime Seasoning [ dehydrated vegetable protein, parsley, chilli, natural falvour, lime spice extract, natural colour (beetroot)], Flavours, Starch (potato, wheat), Vegetable Gum (carrageenan), Reconstituted Lime Juice (0.4%), Salt, Mineral Salt (potassium chloride), Minerals (zinc, iron), Vitamin B12.

Muthia (delicious spiced dumplings) – Deep Foods

These are amazing and even say ‘Vegan’ on the packet! I’ve given them to a number of people and they all love these mildy spicy dumplings! Have them with soup, as a side or as a snack!

Ingredients: Cabbage, Wheat Flour, Water, Corn Oil, Semolina, Green Chili, Sugar, Coriander Leaves, Salt, Spices, Garlic, Sesame Seeds, Mustard Seeds, Curry Leaves, Turmeric, Citric Acid, Ajwain, Sodium Bicarbonate.

PONK with Tangy Sev – Deep Foods

Who could go past a dish called ‘Ponk’?  I just had to try it and it turned out to be a lovely spicy dish which uses grains that are like eating a cross between barley and baby peas.

Very easy to prepare you can just microwave for 1 minute or leave out to defrost for a few hours then sprinkle on the chickpea noodles.

Describes itself as an: “Extraordinary mix of tender green sorghum grains, crunchy chickpea noodles and choice spices. Serves 2.”

Ingredients: Green Sorghum Grains and Sev (Chickpea Noodles): Chickpea Flour, Corn Oil, Spices, Salt, Citric Acid, Asafoetida.
