Little Oak Sanctuary brings you COMPASSIONATE STAKES!

Tired of so called ‘entertainment’ that involves cruelty to animals? This is the event you’ve been waiting for!

Grab your friends and sign up today for T-REX races in the heart of Canberra City!

Tickets to race are just $10 per individual or $20 per pair for the relay – get in quick spots are limited! Spectators are FREE!

All proceeds go to help support survivors of the horse racing industry currently residing at Little Oak Sanctuary.

What: T-Rex races/Fashion OFF the Field comps
The Compassionate Stakes features compassionate Canberrans, racing in giant inflatable T-Rex costumes to make cruelty ancient history! Fashionistas can participate in Fashion Off The Fields competition, information about horses and animal racing will be available, a vegan sausage sizzle and baked goods will be available, prizes and entertainment abound.

Where: City Walk – Canberra (between the Merry-Go-Round & The Fish Shack)

When: Tuesday 5 November 12-4pm
T-Rex races will be held every half hour from 12.30 to 3:30pm

Each year in Australia, more and more people are deciding that entertainment that relies on others having a bad time are no fun. We all enjoy getting dressed up and having a good time with friends, but watching animals suffering is noone’s cup of tea.

Race entry fees are non-refundable and go to support survivors of the horse racing industry at Little Oak Sanctuary
Overall Rules:
1. You must be aged 18 years old or over on 5th November, 2019, to compete.
2. You must arrive 30 minutes before race start for registration and T-Rex costume preparation.
3. All competitors MUST wear running shoes.
4. Competing with the spirit of kindness and compassion is compulsory – not a comp for saur losers!
5. First aid officers will be present in case of accident however participants acknowledge they are racing at their own risk.
6. Judges decisions on race outcomes are final.
