Join Little Oak Sanctuary and the Canberra Cruelty Free Shop on the first Vegan Day Out of 2019 – Saturday March the 9th from 9am!

Together, we’re holding a vegan bake sale to raise much needed funds for the farmed animal residents of Little Oak Sanctuary, and to support our work advocating for all animals!

Time: From 9am as long as the goodies last!
Place: Canberra- 3/24 Mort St, Braddon ACT

If you’d like to bake some sweet or savoury treats for our event drop us a line! All contributions welcome as long as no animal ingredients are used, and we’d love a list of ingredients to make sure allergies are accounted for ♥ ♥

Queanbeyan Rodeo Protest – Saturday, 9 March 2019

https://www.facebook.com/events/2250363425224632/

Please join Animal Liberation ACT and the Anti-Speciesist Action Collective to protest the Queanbeyan Rodeo. This outdated and cruel form of entertainment bills itself as a day of “Skills, Spills, and Thrills”. Terrified animals are purposefully harmed to give a ‘good show’, injured, and often die. There is no skill or thrill in this, and the spills are often deadly for the animals forced to participate. Events such as these attempt to normalise exploitation and abuse of animals as a part of country life.

Come along and show solidarity with the animals who have no choice in their participation, and with your fellow activists. Together we can show that those willing to oppose all forms of animal exploitation are growing in number.

For those attending and planning on driving out – if you have extra seats and are willing to carpool please comment and indicate where you may be able to take people from (eg inner north, belco etc). Parking will be busy at the grounds so the fewer cars, the better!

We have signs ready for people to use. If you wish to bring or make your own please do.

This event is not child friendly.

Vegan Coffee & Cake – Second Wednesday of every month

Monthly coffee & cake meetup. Come and meet fellow vegans and those interested in veganism over a cuppa for a chat.

Despite the name we often eat more than just cake and drink more than coffee – all welcome!

Please be mindful that this event is vegan-friendly. You don’t need to be vegan to attend, however we request that you order vegan food & drink at this event.
